Last Meals

Breakfast: Five eggs scrambled in goose fat, plate full of steamed broccoli.

Lunch: Corned beef from my favourite diner. Dabs of made-from-scratch horseradish sauce. Cabbage, boiled and then marked on the grill.

…8oz of steamed half and half….

Supper: Roasted pork loin, hand rubbed with spices. Steamed broccoli and cauliflower.  Liberal dabs of homemade habanero hot sauce, aged 7 days. A few pieces of mature English cheddar.

I love you food. I know you’re not going anywhere.

Time to do some science.

I had a friend tell me she would go insane after a week of no “real food”. I can’t speak for the rest of the crew but, for me… it’s good to push yourself. Everyone has been working so hard. Ketosis, thermogenisis, collating and calculating each step to this point.

Aesthetics pulled away to contemplate the beauty of the divine… Science is beautiful! Understanding is one of the most exquisite things we can feel as a human!

Sometimes, it’s good to figure out what is more important, the comfort of a piece of toast every morning, or finding out something new and exciting about how we understand the world. Where do you draw the line about what is important for you?

Even if it all fails, we’ve learned something. I love that.

I am so excited…  😀
